The Mohanlal dialogue, 'My phone number is 2255,' remains one of the favorite dialogues among Malayalis even today. This number became a hit through the movie 'Rajavinte Makan'. The star has now acquired the number 2255 for his Rs 33 lakh Innova Hycross car. Mohanlal bought the fancy number KL 07 DJ 2255 for Rs 1.80 lakh in an auction held at the Ernakulam RTO office on Monday.
The auction was conducted online under the leadership of Ernakulam Joint RTO C.D. Arun. Three people, including Mohanlal, participated in the auction for the number DJ 2255. The bidding, which started at Rs 10,000, reached Rs 1.45 lakh, at which point Lal's representative raised the bid to Rs 1.80 lakh. Subsequently, the opponents withdrew. The star booked the number DJ 2255 by paying a fee of Rs 5000.
Last September, after a fierce auction, film producer and Mohanlal's friend Antony Perumbavoor also acquired the favorite number 2255. Antony Perumbavoor bought the number KL 07 DH 2255 for Rs 3,20,000 in an auction.
