The Padma Shree awardee, legendary sprinter Milka Singh passed away last night following a long battle with Covid-19.
Former Indian sprinter Milkha Singh, popularly regarded as Flying Sikh, passed away on June 18 at 11.30 pm. He was admitted to ICU on June 3 due to decreasing oxygen levels; he was 91.
He tested positive for Covid-19 on May 20. Six days ago, on June 13 his wife Nirmal had passed away. The sad demise of the legendary athlete has made the entire film industry and sports fraternity mourning.
