Synopsis

Meghan Markle may be making an acting comeback. Sources claim she's been offered a role and is in early talks to join Guy Ritchie's Netflix series 'The Gentlemen' for a potential Season 3, though talks are hypothetical at this stage.

Meghan Markle's Potential Acting Return

Meghan Markle may be teaming up with Guy Ritchie for her return to acting, reported Deadline. According to the outlet's sources, the actress has been "offered a role in an upcoming project based in the UK."

The former Suits star has had preliminary conversations to join Guy Ritchie's Netflix series 'The Gentlemen' for Season 3. Sources caution that the talks are in very early stages and they are also hypothetical at this point because The Gentlemen, starring Theo James, has not been renewed for a third season yet; its second season premieres September 3. Additionally, no role has been identified so far, I hear, reported Deadline.

Word of the potential casting comes as Markle and Prince Harry, who have been living in California for the past six years, announced earlier this week that they would be returning to the UK for an extended period of time. Since the duo's relocation to the US in 2020, they have done the Netflix docu-series Harry & Meghan and With Love, Meghan under their deal there, with Markle also hosting the Archetypes podcast. She recently did a guest appearance on MasterChef Australia, and it was announced last year that she was doing a cameo in Amazon MGM Studios movie Close Personal Friends.

About 'The Gentlemen' Season 2

Coming back to the show, in Season 2 of 'The Gentlemen', set in the same world as Ritchie's 2019 Miramax film, it's been one year since Eddie (James) and Susie (Kaya Scodelario) joined forces to work together in Bobby's (Ray Winstone) criminal empire overseas. As they drive to expand their enterprise, the decisions Bobby is making seem to be increasingly unsound. Now Eddie and Susie must decide whether to take action or risk losing it all, but unfettered ambition never ends well, reported Deadline.

Cast and Crew

The cast also includes Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Jasmine Blackborow, Michael Vu, Harry Goodwins, Ruby Sear, Pearce Quigley, Hugh Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Michele Morrone, Sergio Castellitto, Amra Mallassi, Tyler Conti, Chris Eubank Jr and Maya Jama.

The Gentlemen is created by Ritchie, who serves as writer alongside Matthew Read. Ritchie and Eran Creevy direct. The series is executive produced by Ritchie, Will Gould, Read, Frith Tiplady, Simon Crawford Collins for Moonage Pictures and Ivan Atkinson. Laura Jackson and Max Keene produce. (ANI)
