Laxmmi Bomb trailer out: Akshay Kumar nails the role of transgender 'bhoot' (Watch)

In the horror-comedy, Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the role of a transgender. The film also stars Kiara Advani in a male role.


At last, the trailer of Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani's Laxmmi Bomb is out. Kollywood star Raghava Lawrence directs the film. Laxmmi Bomb will be released on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar.

In the movie, Akshay's character doesn’t believe in ghosts and at the opening, he had declared that ‘jis dinn mere saamne bhoot aya nah, main chudiyan pehen lunga agar’.

For the first time, Akshay will be seen playing a role for transgender with the onscreen name Laxman and Laxmmi. Akshay Kumar shared the trailer and said, "Jahan kahi bhi hain, wahi ruk jaayyein aur taiyyaar ho jaayyein dekhne #LaxmmiBomb ka trailer, kyunki barasne aa rahi hai Laxmmi! #LaxmmiBombTrailer out now." The trailer shows that actor's transformation into a transgender after a ghost possesses him. The tagline reads, "A circus of a family and ghost."

In a virtual press conference in June, Akshay talked about his role, "In 30 years, this is the most mentally intensive role. Never experienced it before. Credit for it goes to Lawrence sir. He introduced me to a version of me which I didn't know existed. It was different from my other characters. Iska bolna, chalna action reaction maine kabhi portray nahi kiya," The actor had said at a virtual press conference, adding that "Laxmmi Bomb" has made him "more sensitive about gender equality"

The horror-comedy also features Kiara Advani, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharad Kelkar, and Ashwini Kalsekar. Laxmmi Bomb is the remake of Muni 2: Kanchana from Tamil franchise Kanchana by Raghava Lawrence.
