KGF star Yash gives Rs 1.5 Cr from his earnings to 3000 Kannada cine workers

Synopsis

Known for his concern for the environment, KGF star went extra mile by adopting a lake in North Karnataka. Now Yash spends Rs 1.5Cr from his earnings to support Kannada workers.

The second wave of Covid-19 caused massive devastation impacting employment and survival of many, including cine workers.

In the light of the same, KGF star Yash has decided to give financial assistance of Rs 5000 to 3000 poor Kannada cinema industry workers.

The star took to his social media account, shared his concern, and stated that he would be giving Rs 1.5Cr towards the workers.

Light men, clapper men, drivers, camera crew and much supporting staff in 22 department in the Kannada film industry suffered due to lockdown and Covid-19 infection.

Aware of this tough situation, Yash, who is now basking under the success of KGF, has come to help these poor sections of the film fraternity.

He admitted that this is a small amount, but it will help the workers to a certain extent.

Yash's KGF Chapter 2 was lined up for July 19 release.

However, with the current situation it appears that film's release is likely to get delayed.
