Both were there to welcome in 2016. Karan proposed Bips on New Year’s Eve with a ring and lots of dazzling fireworks.

Bipasha was taking videos of the fireworks and suddenly Karan went down on one knee and presented a shiny rock to his lady-love.

The actress, meanwhile, was in a trance and her first reaction was ‘What are you telling me?’ Bipasha eventually said ‘okay,’ and Karan told her that he was taking that as a ‘yes’. This was a big surprise for the Bengali bombshell and she hadn’t expected to get hitched.

Though it was nothing short than an entirely scripted romantic film, Karan says it was spontaneous and felt like the "right moment."

In an interview with Times Of India, the couple stated that they still have a wedding hangover!
