Indian Idol singer Renu Nagar critical in hospital after news of married boyfriend committing suicide

Indian Idol singer Renu Nagar was admitted to hospital after she collapsed due shock following news of her boyfriend's suicide. Renu and her boyfriend Ravi Shankar, a married man with two children, eloped last month but were tracked following a complaint. On August 26, Ravi consumed poison and died. Hearing this news, the singer collapsed and is now said to be in a critical condition in hospital.  

Indian Idol singer and Rajasthan's famed child Renu Nagar is said to be critical after she collapsed due to shock following the news of her boyfriend's suicide.

Her boyfriend Ravi Shankar would come to her house to learn tabla as her family is involved in the folk music profession. The closeness between the two developed into an affair and on June 1 they eloped.

What shocked the family was Renu, knowing that Ravi was married and had two children, decided to elope with him. Following a complaint, they were tracked. Renu was taken to her home while Ravi returned to his house on August 24. Two days later, Ravi consumed poison and was rushed to Alwar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Following the news, the singer went into shock and collapsed and is said to be in critical condition in hospital.
