Bengaluru: Treat to superstar Rajinikanth's fans as Sun Pictures, which is producing his next Annaatthe, announced that the film will be released next year during Pongal.
Fans went crazy as Sun Pictures released a teaser announcing this. In 14 hours, the teaser got about 7.7k retweets, 25.5k likes and over 800 comments.
Annaatthe is directed by Siruthai Siva. The cast includes Khushbu, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Siddharth, and Soori for this project. It is said that actor Prakash Raj. who embarrassed Kannadigas by insulting their sentiments with respect to river Cauvery and later lost the Lok Sabha election, is being offered a role as well. Music has been composed by D Imaan.
It is said that Rajinikanth will be seen playing a villager after a long time.
His last film was Darbaar with Nayanthara. The AR Murugadoss film had Bollywood star Sunil Shetty and Dilip Tahil playing negative roles. The film earned Rs 200 crore business.
