Pop superstar George Michael dies of heart failure at 53

Synopsis

Pop superstar George Michael passed away peacefully after suffering a heart failure at his home on Sunday. George was just 53. 

 

Michael's manager, Michael Lippman revealed that the cause of death was heart failure. The Wham star's death has been treated as "unexplained but not suspicious." 

 

In his career spanning over four decades, Michael wrote and produced a number of evergreen songs. The star of pop music in the 80s and 90s his singles like Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go with Wham! and then Faith established him as a pop sensation. His written ballads like Careless Whisper, Father Figure, transcended beyond the barrier of age and genres.

 

 

But, over the last few years of his career, it was his personal life that gained more fuel. On the increasing speculations and media interest on his sexuality, he said, "I will never say if I'm gay. I have never thought about my sexuality being right or wrong. To me it has always been a case of finding the right person."
