Noted fashion designer Wendell Rodricks passed away at his home, Colvale residence in Goa on Wednesday.
At 59, apart from being a designer, Wendell Rodricks has also been associated with many causes, including environmental issues and LGBTQ rights.
Minutes after news of Wendell Rodrick’s death did the rounds condolence messages began to pour in and continues flood various social media platforms
A tweet put out by the Fashion Design Council of India expressed grief and disheartenment at the passing away at Rodricks. In its tweet, FDCI stated "FDCI is deeply disheartened with the sudden and untimely demise of one of the country's iconic designer, Wendell Rodricks. The fashion fraternity lost a legend today. Wendell, we will miss you."
The Padma Shri awardee is survived by his husband Jerome Marrel
