Mumbai: Farhan Akhtar is all set to ace a boxer's role for his upcoming movie 'Toofaan'.
The much-awaited sports drama has created a buzz on the internet already.
Recently, the actor shared a video of himself training like a beast to fit in the boxer's character.
In the caption, he wrote, "Just like a tree can only withstand a storm if it has strong roots, no fighter ever won fighting on weak legs—@samir_jaura racking it up and keeping it there #ToofaanUthega #21stMay"
In the video, Farhan can be seen doing intense workout in the gym, breaking all boundaries, to attain that fit physic for his role.
Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, 'Toofaan' marks the second collaboration for Akhtar and Mehra. Their last collaboration was the 2013 biopic 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'.
'Toofaan' is bankrolled by Ritesh Sidhwani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar.
The movie also features Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur and Hussain Dalal.
'Toofaan' will premiere globally on Amazon Prime Video on May 21, 2021, in over 240 countries and territories.
