EXO's Chen and his wife welcomed baby girl, 4 months after their private wedding and fans have showered them with love
Seoul: K-pop star and EXO's main vocalist Kim Jong-dae, better known by his stage name, Chen and his wife welcomed the birth of their first child on Wednesday.
On April 29, news outlet Financial News reported that Chen’s wife gave birth to a baby girl this day at a hospital in the neighborhood of Cheongdam in Gangnam District. A source from SM Entertainment confirmed the news, saying, “It is true that their daughter was born today.”
Chen announced his marriage and the pregnancy of his bride-to-be (now wife) in January with a handwritten letter.
The singer shared an adorable letter in which he told fans that he found a ‘blessing’ in the girl he wants to ‘spend the rest of my life with’ and their bundle of joy.
Ever since the news was confirmed, social media has been flooded with messages of congratulations from EXO fans.
The 27-year-old hit us all with a major surprise back in January when SM Entertainment confirmed that the Love Shot singer was getting married.
The agency’s statement read:
‘Chen has met someone precious to him and will be getting married. The bride is a non-celebrity, and the wedding will be held privately with only their families in attendance.
‘To respect their families’ opinions, the wedding and everything related to it will be held privately, so we ask fans and reporters for their kind understanding.
‘Chen will continue to work hard as an artist. We ask you to send Chen lots of blessings and messages of celebration.’
