Divorce off the cards? Sudeep, Priya miss yet another court hearing

Following the third absence of star couple Sudeep and Priya for the court hearing on their divorce, the family court has yet again postponed the hearing to September 9.

However, recently the couple were seen together, in harmony, at the audio release of the movie ‘Jigar Thanda’ by their home banner. This had raised a question about their divorce application as sources said that the couple might not separate.

Sudeep and Priya had filed for divorce at a family court on September 11. The court had asked them to stay together for six months before deciding on the divorce.

Accordingly, the court had fixed March 17 as the date of hearing. But as the couple failed to appear before the court, it postponed the date to April 22. However, it is said that Sudeep’s sister had filed the divorce application on behalf of the couple.

The couple had stated in the application that, “There is no harmony between us. We have more differences than understanding. Even trivial things get us angry. So we have come to an understanding that we can no longer live together and have decided to separate.”

However, the couple did not appear to the court on April 22 too, making the judge postpone the date again to June 29.

Even if they had appeared before the court, it would have asked them to attend the intervention centre, where the members would have tried to convince them for one last time to withdraw their divorce application, in case they still want to stay together.

The court was supposed to give the verdict, based on the report by this intervention centre.As neither Sudeep nor Priya attended this latest hearing , the chances of them remaining together seem to be high.
