Director opens movie themed restaurant

Celebrities venturing into eatery business is not new, but B Unnikrishnan is so smitten by the silver screen that the director's new restaurant opened in the city has its interiors inspired by movie posters, dialogues and even pictures of renowned Hollywood directors. Posters of movies from 'Balan', the first talkie in Malayalam to the latest hit release 'Charlie' adorn the walls of the restaurant titled 'Grandmaster' named after his hit movie starring Mohanlal.

Pictures of yesteryear actors Satyan, Nazir, Shivaji Ganesan, Sheela, Sharada to new age actors Dulquer, Fahad and Manju Warrier lend a totally new ambience to the restaurant. 

"The theme based hotel is the result of my years of research and travel, and when I decided to open the restaurant I was very particular that it must be based on movies," says B Unnikrishnan. The restaurant also has a long menu to tickle different taste buds. From Thai, Chinese, North Indian delicacies to mouth watering native delicacies of Kozhikode and Kuttanad the restaurant caters to all.
