It would seem the CBFC does not want to expose the delicate sensibilities of some Indians to any form of 'sin' whatsoever. The latest target of this cleansing drive is Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'. The Board has ordered the chopping of quite a few steamy scenes between the lead pair, Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

According to a report published in DNA, many all the intimate scenes between Ranbir and Aishwarya's characters have been snipped off by the Board, despite Karan Johar's protests.

This news has left many disappointed - since their sizzling chemistry was obvious even in the brief glimpses we got in the trailer. However, the sad news is true.

The report also said, "Johar himself attended the Censor Board screening, and when the Board suggested him to cut the intimate scenes, Karan was extremely upset and even tried putting his point across, but in vain."

Later, he had to do away with a few crucial steamy scenes which, according to him, were vital to the film. One of the cut scenes even includes the one shown in the trailer. The Board gave Ae Dil Hai Mushkil a U/A Certificate since they felt the intimate scenes were not suitable for children. The movie opens in theatres on October 28.
