Tamil actor Dhanush had a selfie moment with actors Vikram and Nivin Pauly during the event. He captioned it, "With the best actors :) in the nation. Proud. Happy. To have been in the same era as chiyaan:) nd nivin. (sic)"
Kannada actor Vikram won the Filmfare Award for the best actor for his performance in 'I', and Nivin was at the awards to hand over the Best Actress Award to Parvathy.
