Brendan Fraser to play villain in Bollywood movie

Synopsis

Brendan Fraser, who is well known for his roles in Bedazzled and The Mummy series, is now scheduled to star in an upcoming Bollywood film - The Field. 


The movie is the directorial debut of Rohit Karn Batra and revolves around an Indian land mafia family fighting internal battles following the death of the family's patriarch. The Field, which will also feature TV actor Ronit Roy and Bollywood veteran Prem Chopra.


The actor is already in India for the shoot, which begins on Friday at locations in Mumbai and Delhi. 


According to a media report, Guy Louthan and Jai Khanna of Brillstein Entertainment Partners are producing the movie, which is a multi-storied crime thriller set in the heart of New Delhi. 


The report also mentions the plot of the film, "It will be a classic crime narrative in the backdrop of Delhi merges a dysfunctional, mafia family at war with each other as an undercover officer fights his demons by assisting in their downfall."
