Watch: Blockbuster's climax comes true in real life for Mammootty!

Mammootty met an old friend - Abdul Rahman, and the two spent some quality time together.  Apart from Mammootty, celebs like Dileep, Tiny Tom, Salim Kumar were also present at the Maharaja’s College alumni meet.

Interestingly, during that event, Mammootty met an old friend - Abdul Rahman, and the two spent some quality time together. 

Later, when asked, Abdul said he was glad Mammootty recognised him and found time for the event, despite being such a big star.

The scene was like a déjà vu, straight from the blockbuster movie Kadha Pareyumbol. 

Viewers will recall there's a similar scene in which the character Ashok Raj, played by Mammooty, remembers his old playmate Balan, played by Sreenivasan, during a school function where he was invited as the chief guest.
