Berenice Bejo roped in for Dhanush's Hollywood film

The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir is scheduled to go on floors in May and will be shot in Mumbai, Paris, Brussels and Rome. The film also stars Erin Moriarty, Barkhad Abdi, Laurent Lafitte and Abel.

Hollywood actor Berenice Bejo will play a pivotal role in Dhanush's Hollywood debut film The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, say reports.

Hollywood actor Berenice Bejo has joined Tamil actor Dhanush in the upcoming Hollywood adventure film The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, which is directed by Ken Scott.

According to reports, the film also stars Erin Moriarty, Barkhad Abdi, Laurent Lafitte and Abel.

The film is scheduled to go on floors in May and will be shot in Mumbai, Paris, Brussels and Rome.

The film is based on Romain Puertolas best-selling debut novel The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe, which came out in 2014 and has been translated into 35 languages.

Speaking about the film, Scott said, "It's the story of this magician/thief who grew up in this small neighbourhood in Mumbai. He sets sail on this journey of self-discovery throughout Europe. What's great is I get to work with a great actor, Dhanush, who is a huge star in India. He's a great actor, but also a great dancer and a great singer. He has a very unique way of dancing and moving, he's just very charming," Scott said.

Basking in the success of the political thriller Kodi, Dhanush awaits the release of the romantic thriller Enai Noki Paayum Thotta, which is directed by Gautham Menon.
