Ever since PM's surgical strike on black money has come into effect, many eminent personalities have come out to speak on the issue. And the latest celebrity to put forth her two cents on PM Modi's demonetisation drive is Rajya Sabha MP, Jaya Bachchan.

Jaya has said that the intention behind demonetisation was good but the implementation has been flawed. She also took a jobe at Modi's recent statement and said, “Bharat 50 din baad swarg ban jayega aur hum sab swargwasi."

Jaya Bachchan's comments are surprising considering the rest of the Bachchan parivaar recently praised the PM and his strong stand on the issue of black money. Jaya Bachchan has also joined Mamta Banerji to protest against demonetisation.

In an interview with a news channel, Aishwarya said, "Congratulations, Mr PM. You have gone ahead with a very strong move for your larger vision to wipe out corruption in our country. That’s the larger overview that we as citizens patiently understand and recognise. Change isn’t often comfortable, but everybody will find their way to embrace it if they focus on the larger picture."

Amitabh Bachchan too had tweeted, "T 2435 – the new 2000 rs note is PINK in colour … the PINK effect ..”

“Anybody, who is trying do something good for the country needs to be supported. And that’s what we should do. It’s a move in the positive direction,” Abhishek told PTI.
