She celebrated her birthday along with her brother Abhijith and friends. Amala also posted pictures of celebrations on her official Facebook page.
One of Amala's post went viral where Amala jumped from a swing into a pond during her visit to Monkey Island. The full event was shot in a slow motion video and the video went viral among her fans on the internet.
Post her divorce with director A. L. Vijay, Amala is nowadays very busy with her upcoming projects. Director Susi Ganeshan has roped in Amala to play the female lead in his Thiruttu Payale 2, with Bobby Simhaa in the lead, and Prasanna playing the villain.
