Now the doe-eyed actress has slammed all rumours linking her with actor Dhanush and said it was, in fact, Dhanush who tried his best to avert a divorce between her and her former husband AL Vijay. Amala Paul said she was hurt and insulted by the rumours.
"Me and Dhanush was the leading pair for 'Velaiilla Pattadhari'(VIP) and naturally I was preferred for the film's sequel 'VIP 2'. I did not bag the role on the basis of some recommendation" said Amala.
The actress was recently in Kochi to celebrate Christmas with her family.
Dhanush and Amala Paul was first cast together for 'Velaiilla Pattadhari'.
The stars will be seen again as the leading pair in the upcoming movie 'Vada Chennai'.
The actress, who is in a happy space now has her hands full. She will be seen in a Malayalam movie 'Achayans' and has signed her first movie in Kannada.
