Amala Akkineni returns to Mollywood after 25 years

Animal activist, dancer and actress, Amala Akkineni is making a come back in Malayalam movie industry after a gap of 25 years. Though she has only acted in a handful of movies in Malayalam, her characters in 'Ente Sooryaputhrikku' and 'Ulladakkam' are counted as two powerful female characters in Mollywood movies. 

Titled 'C/o Sairabanu', Amala would be sharing screen space with Manju Warrier in the film and both will be playing lawyers.The film is directed by debutant Antony Sony and scripted by RJ Shaan. 

Amala currently heads Annapurna International School of Film & Media (AISFM). She is also an animal activist and a co-founder of Blue Cross of Hyderabad.
