All is not well between Aishwarya Rai and Karan Johar

Aishwarya and her family organised a prayer meet at Taj Mumbai on the demise of her father Krishnaraj Rai, who breathed his last on 18 March. Aishwarya’s best buddy Karan Johar was not present with her during her toughest time.
A source close to both revealed to an entertainment website that Aishwarya wasn’t happy with the way she was kept away from the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's promotional events. The reason was, the movie actresses Aishwarya and Anushka were to promote the film together but at that time Anushka was busy shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Rehnuma and therefore Karan didn’t want Aishwarya to promote the film alone.
His reasoning was since Aishwarya had a comparatively shorter role in the movie while Anushka played the female lead, he didn’t want a wrong message to go out to the public about Aishwarya being the leading lady.
The source said, “Post the success of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan reached out to the actress expressing interest in doing another film with her, but she gave him a cold shoulder. They haven’t been on great terms with each other ever since.”
Recently Aishwarya and her family organised a prayer meet at Taj Mumbai on the demise of her father Krishnaraj Rai, who breathed his last on 18 March. The actress was seen arriving at the venue with her daughter Aaradhya and mother Vrinda.
Abhishek, Amitabh Bachchan along with Jaya and Shweta Nanda Bachchan were all present at the prayer meet. However, Aishwarya’s best buddy Karan Johar was not present with her during her toughest time.

According to the reports, Karan was very much in Mumbai and just last night hosted Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt for a quiet dinner. And his absence from Aishwarya’s father’s funeral made it all the more shocking.
Judging by Karan's absence from the prayer meet, it's quite clear that things aren't the same between him and Aishwarya.
