Akshay Kumar's bodyguard punches fan trying to take a selfie

In 2014, Akshay Kumar's bodyguard hit a dentist after he tried to come close to the star during a movie shoot outside a residential building in Malad. The dentist then called the police, who took both of them to the police station nearby. The bodyguard was allowed to go with a strict warning.

The same incident repeated recently when a fan, who tried to take an unwelcome selfie with the star outside the Mumbai airport, was punched in his head by the actor's bodyguard.

The spectators were left utterly baffled as the bodyguard, who has been working with Akshay for several years now, rarely loses his temper.

As Akshay was whisked away from the scene by the time of the incident, presumably he was unaware of what transpired at the time.

Later, the actor has apologised in a post on Twitter saying "That the incident was 'uncalled for' and that he has taken strict measures against the bodyguard in concern."

Akshay has been trending on Twitter on Saturday with the tag 'We Love Akshay Kumar.'

Akshay Kumar was last seen in Airlift, which fared very well at the box office. At present, he is gearing up for his next release - Housefull 3.
