Rio Olympics issue: Aishwarya Rai supports Salman

Salman's selection as a brand ambassador for Rio Olympics had stirred a controversy as many feel that it should have gone to a sports icon.

However, some sports personalities, actors and politicians have stood up in the support Indian Olympics Association's decision of the appointment of popular movie star.

When asked about her views on the controversy, Aishwarya said, "Anyone who is doing good to represent the country or working or speaking or standing for the betterment of art, music or sports, is wonderful and the person needs to be recognised."
