After Bigil, Thalapathy 64 will see Tamil superstar Vijay with baddie Vijay Sethupathi

Synopsis

Thalapathy 64 will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Vijay Sethupathi will be pitted against Tamil superstar Vijay.

While fans of Tamil superstar Vijay are eagerly waiting for their favourite star's upcoming film Bigil that is set to hit the silver screens during Diwali this year, they are overjoyed to hear about the hero's next - Thalapathy 64.

Xavier Britto of XB Film Creators is producing the film, which will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Thalapathy 64's cast is as big as the budget of the flick.

The fresh update on social media, as confirmed by the makers, is that Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the antagonist in the film. And Anirudh Ravichander will compose music.

The production company welcomed the Vikram Vedha actor by sharing a photo of him on Twitter. "We are overwhelmed and excited to have our versatile star, '#MakkalSelvan’ @VijaySethuOffl sir on board for #Thalapathy64 (sic)," the tweet said.

 

Rumours claim that the noted villain of the film will be paid Rs 10 crore for this project.

The buzz is that Petta actress Malavika Mohanan will play the heroine in Thalapathy 64.

Vijay vs Vijay in Thalapathy 64, touted to be a gangster film, is said to go on floors in October this year.

The production company has promised three major announcements every day for the next three consecutive days at 5pm, starting today.
