Synopsis

It is the first time Adoor Gopalakrishnan is using digital technology in his film.  Adoor Gopalakrishnan's last feature film was Oru Pennum Randaanum (Climate of Crime) in 2008.

After a long hiatus of eight years, renowned filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan is all set for the release of his latest Malayalam movie Pinneyum

Adoor, who is widely revered in the international film circuits as one of the most talented among the avant-garde film makers in India, is experimenting with digital technology for the first time in his movies. Again, it is the first time the Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner is going for a wide release. The movie will hit theatres on August 18.

The film also coincides with the 75th birthday of the legendary director and also marks his 50th year in cinema.  For the special movie, which is close to his heart, Adoor has cast two mainstream actors in Mollywood -- Dileep and Kavya Madhavan. Pinneyum is the 15th movie of the successful pair.

Pinneyum has a long list of star cast that includes Marathi actor Subodh Bhave, KPAC Lalitha, Nedumudi Venu, Vijayaraghavan, Indrans and Srinda Ashaab and two newcomers -- Vaishakh and Meera Nallur.
