Bhuvneshwar Kumar is a renowned Indian seamer who prominently dominates the limited-overs sector. He has represented the side across formats to date while he plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.

Renowned Indian seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been dealt with a setback in his personal life. The 31-year-old lost his father on Thursday due to liver cancer.

The 63-year-old Kiran Pal Singh was diagnosed with the same in September 2020, leading to Bhuvneshwar returning from the 2020 Indian Premier League duty for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the United Arab Emirates. Specialists were consulted in the United Kingdom before undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments at New Delhi's All Institute of Medical Science, reports ESPNCricinfo.

Kiran's health reportedly deteriorated a couple of weeks back. Although his condition was stable later and he was discharged on Tuesday, he breathed his last on Thursday.

Kiran happened to be Uttar Pradesh Police's retired sub-inspector. He survives by his wife Indresh Devi, along with his children Bhuvi and Rekha.
