The match saw India struggle considerably with the bat, with Lanka looking well on course to level the series. However, pacer Deepak Chahar produced a euphoric show with the bat, as his unbeaten 69 played a pivotal role in the win.
Meanwhile, following the win, netizens poked fun at the Lanka side for failing to deal with a non-primary Indian side. As the 'B-Team' meme fest broke out, it was seemingly targetted at legendary former Lanka skipper Arjuna Ranatunga's comment of rating the Indian side as 'second-string'.
"This is a second-string Indian team and their coming here is an insult to our cricket. I blame the current administration for agreeing to play with them due to television marketing needs," he had said last week.
