Budget 2023: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced providing strong impetus to growth and job creation as one of the key focus of the national budget. The other two were facilitating ample opportunities for citizens, especially the youth, and the strengthening of macro economic stability.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Wednesday that India is heading towards a bright future despite challenges, as she delivered her fifth budget in the parliament.
She stated that one of the main goals of the government budget would be to give great encouragement to growth and the creation of jobs. The enhancement of macroeconomic stability and providing many chances for citizens, particularly young people, were the other two.
The tourism industry is praised by Finance Minister Sitharaman as offering great prospects for young people. She said that the government is putting several green growth plans into practise, which will assist lower carbon intensity and support green jobs.

Sitharaman also said the Indian economy is on the right track and is heading toward a bright future. She has listed seven priorities, saptrishi, in the Union Budget 2023 to guide India through the Amrit Kaal.
It is the last budget the Indian government will present before the country holds a national election the following year. According to the Economic Survey 2022–23, which was published on Tuesday, the GDP of the nation is expected to increase by between 6.8% and 6.9% in FY24. According to its early projections, the economy would expand by 7% in FY23, which is faster than the RBI's forecast.
