Twitter rules state that if any account is withheld in a country in response to a legal demand, that means the platform was compelled to withhold the account specified in response to a valid legal demand, such as a court order.

The action on BBC News Punjabi comes amid a crackdown on pro-Khalistani elements in Punjab and a wave of pro-Khalistan protests in Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
