BSNL announces unlimited data and voice calls to any network

We've seen telcos churn out lucrative data plans to combat Jio, and the latest one comes from BSNL. BSNL's new plan takes on similar deals on Airtel and Jio, by offering unlimited data and calls at Rs 298.

BSNL has announced its new plan that brings unlimited voice calls for both local and STD across any network. And, the plan also includes unlimited data. There is limited on the data, which means you can access 1GB data per day and post that the speed will be reduced to 80kbps. This will be valid for 56 days.

It is said to be a promotional plan, which will be applicable only on first recharge. This plan will be available from August 7 to November 4.

Jio had updated some of its Dhan Dhana Dhan plans. One of the key changes were brought to the Rs 399 plan that was updated to offer 84 days of validity over the 28 days it offered earlier with 1GB/day cap. The data has also been increased to 84GB. This means, users now get 84GB data for 84 days with a 1GB cap per day and free voice calls.

In response to Jio's Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, Airtel has offered a new deal for users. Airtel is offering unlimited calls, 1GB data/day for 70 days at ₹399.

For pre-paid users only, Airtel has announced 84GB of 4G data with a validity of 84 days at just Rs 449. Interestingly, there is another offer that also gives 84GB data for 84 day, but a lesser price of Rs 293. If you are wondering why both plans offering 84GB data are selling at different price points, then here's what makes the difference. The rs 499 plan also brings unlimited local and STD calls to all numbers while the Rs 293 plan with the calls will be limited.
