The Delhi Traffic Police will issue a list of 100 problematic drivers in the city who routinely violate traffic regulations. It will be the first time the police have compiled such a list. According to the official, the names on the list would be identified based on four offences: red light jumping, speeding, drunk driving, and dangerous driving. Muktesh Chander, the special commissioner of police (traffic), stated that the purpose of this is to tell such drivers that their driving abilities are inadequate and that they need to improve them.

He went on to say that the goal is to inform individuals that their driving is so poor that they consistently break the regulations. Their driving puts them at risk and their family and relatives that commute with them and other individuals on the road. The individuals on the list would be invited to attend road safety seminars where they would be educated about road safety.

Assume that despite repeated requests, the criminals do not attend the sessions and continue to commit crimes. In such scenario, their licence will be permanently revoked under Motor Vehicle Act section 19 (which gives licencing authorities the right to revoke licences), and they will be unable to obtain a licence in the future, according to the police. The Delhi Traffic Police claimed it would use information stored in its database, which is supplied whenever e-challans are issued to offenders.

The list will be available in a day or two, and letters will be delivered to their (offenders') homes inviting them to attend road safety and counselling sessions at Todapur, according to the official.
