The Director of the film, Rohit Shetty, had announced earlier on social media that Sooryavanshi will release during Diwali soon after Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced the reporting of cinema halls from October 22.
In the video shared on social media, Akshay Kumar can be seen alongside Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, who have cameo appearances in Sooryvanshi. In the video, the three actors can be seen urging the audience to watch the film in theatres. The film was initially scheduled to release on March 25, 2020. Sooryavanshi is the fourth film from Rohit Shetty's cop universe. Shetty has given a line of many hit films such as  Singham, Singham Returns, Simmba, and now Sooryavanshi. The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment, and it is produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez in association with Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films. Apart from this, Akshay Kumar has many budget films to release in future. He will also be seen in Ram Setu with Jacqueline Fernandez and Bachchan Pandey with Kriti Sanon.
