'Taliban were barbaric 20 years ago, and they are the same even now'

"The Taliban were barbaric 20 years ago, and even now, they are the same," says Ahmad Zaki, an Afghan national whose family now faces a situation in which they are forced to stay indoors.

Zaki moved to New Delhi four years ago, but his family is still in Afghanistan.

Speaking to Asianet Newsable, Zaki blames deposed President Ashraf Ghani for the situation that the country is in today. 

He also blamed the United States. "What they did with the people of Afghanistan is very bad. They suddenly abandoned Afghanistan and left," he said.
