India joins elite hypersonic missile club: All you need to know about HSTDV

India successfully test fires hypersonic technology demonstrator vehicle (HSTDV) from Dr Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha. HSTDV, based on hypersonic propulsion technologies, has been developed by the DRDO. DRDO will have the capacity to develop a hypersonic missile with scramjet engine in next five years. Defence minister Rajnath Singh lauded DRDO's landmark achievement towards realising Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
