All about the LGBT debate surrounding NASA's James Webb Space Telescope

Come November, NASA is set to launch the large infrared James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) touted as the “premier observatory” of the coming decade. However, prior to its launch NASA has to take a call on whether to rename of not the $8.8 billion telescope. This comes after four astronomers alleged that NASA's former administrator James Webb, after whom JWST has been named, had persecuted the LGBTQ community when he was part of the US government.
