Bengaluru's first citizen Gangambike Mallikarjun’s tenure will end on September 28. However, her achievements as mayor does not stand out. From neglected potholes to an unprotected stormwater drain which claimed a six-year old's life recently to containing increasing dengue cases, the mayor has been accused of failing in keeping her ward clean.

Jayanagar ward residents say, no one listens to the mayor here. The street corners of Jayanagar 2nd block witness animal waste being dumped at night. Due to this, stray dogs and mosquito menace has increased.

Katte Satyanaraya, former Bengaluru mayor said, he only remembers a badminton stadium being inaugurated in her ward recently and that the city has not witnessed any progress under her tenure.
