Dussehra fever grips Vijayawada

Vijayawada: A festive atmosphere prevails across the country as it celebrations the festival of Dussehra.

Vijayawada, a city on the banks of river Krishna in Andhra Pradesh is fully decked up for the occasion.

Starting today, for the next 10 days, goddess Kanaka Durga will be worshipped in a special manner. More than a lakh people are expected to arrive and have darshan of the goddess.

The goddess will be decorated as per different avatars. Today (September 29) she was decorated as “Swarnakavachaalankrita Durga."

Security is in full force. Daily 40000 people are expected to have the darshan of the goddess. CM Jaganmohan Reddy is expected to arrive on October 5 to pay his obeisance.
