India's first 'Vertical Forest' is coming up in Bengaluru

Mana Foresta in Bengaluru's Sarjapur locality aspires to create India's first vertical forest with 200 trees and shrubs growing out of apartments for 56 families.

Many of us aspire to live in the lap of nature while being connected to our professional life in the city. But more often, that remains a distant dream. Well, not anymore.

Mana Foresta in Bengaluru's Sarjapur locality aspires to create India's first vertical forest with 200 trees and shrubs growing out of apartments for 56 families.

The concept is not new. While the world's first-ever vertical forests came up in Milan, Italy, the concept has been replicated in cities like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Nanjing in China and Utrecht in the Netherlands.

Asianet Newsable reached out to D Kishore Reddy, CMD Mana Projects Private Limited, to understand more about the vertical forest concept.
