Three days post I-Day event, video of IAS officer saluting woman cop Allirani goes viral

A heart-warming act of the district magistrate of Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu during an Independence Day event has gone viral after cameras captured the DM saluting inspector Allirani for risking her life and carrying a COVID-19 victim’s body.
 
Moved by the woman inspector's efforts to carry and cremate the body of COVID-19 victim, the DM while awarding the cop, got off the dais to salute her.
 
The video of the salute has gone viral and the woman has become a household name in Tiruvannamalai district.
