Rash driving of Tamil Nadu bus driver leads to death of 18-year-old; visuals of incident go viral

A Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus ran over bike-borne duo on February 9. One among them, an 18-year-old, was killed in the incident. 

Visuals released by the police on Wednesday showed the government bus taking a sudden left in front of the Town Bus stand and a scooter carrying two men, Prasannakumar and Vignesh, colliding with the swerving bus. Disturbing visuals showed both men being thrown off their scooter. 

The driver and conductor have been booked under Sections 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way), 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 304 (A) (Causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code.
