No beds, no oxygen, people have been asked to take discharge: Bengaluru Volunteer on COVID situation

Even before the viral video of Dr Taha Mateen from Bengaluru begging for staff to join him at his hospital last year during Covid first wave could fade, now another volunteer working with Emergency Response Team appealing to people to stay at home is going viral.

Ameen-E Mudassir, a volunteer with the Emergency Response Team chokes in tears and explains the worst situation the city is under, following Covid second wave.

He says that the hospitals across Bengaluru are facing shortage of beds and oxygen which is essential for treating Covid patients.

He says families are begging them to save lives as their patients are being asked to take discharge from hospitals due to short supply of beds and oxygen. He appeals with folded hands to people to stay at home.
