Karnataka Urban Development minister Byrathi Basavaraj on floods, COVID and Bengaluru Violence

In an exclusive interview with Asianet Newsable, Karnataka minister for Urban Development Byrathi Basavaraj shared his thoughts on the stressful situation in the state pertaining to floods, pandemic and the deadly Bengaluru violence.

As the number of COVID-19 cases are increasing on one hand, flash floods in Belagavi, Mangaluru cause a different kind of havoc. Asianet Newsable reached out to Urban Development minister Byrathi Basavaraj to share his thoughts on the situation.
He said the government will conduct an aerial survey in flood-hit areas and submit a report to the Central government for the release of financial assistance to Karnataka.
From clearing stormwater drains and waterlogged areas to the drug menace in Pulakeshinagar, the minister is confident that action will be taken.
