Karnataka State Cricket Association pulled up for entertaining single-use plastic, slapped with Rs 50,000 fine

Despite holding multiple meetings to spread awareness on the banned single use plastic, it seems like the KSCA has not followed the rules or may have been negligent, for which, it now has to pay a penalty of Rs 50,000.

The Chinnaswamy Stadium with a seating capacity of 38,000 spectators failed to ensure entry of the banned single-use plastic.

Following the notice by Medical Health Officer Dr Sanghamitra on Monday, the BBMP commissioner went a step ahead to shame the KSCA and put out a Twitter post along with the BBMP notice, and stated the penalty amount imposed on the KSCA.

The KSCA has to pay the amount within three days after the issuance of notice. The BBMP commissioner also said the KSCA has earlier also been pulled up for similar offences and have not learnt from the past.
