Divisions within the Congress party in Karnataka have grown deeper ever since former chief minister Siddaramaiah claimed that few of his party leaders were responsible for his loss at Chamundeshwari in the 2018 assembly elections.

Stating that there are no bigger villians that those who betray a fellow party leader, Siddaramiah had said lashed out at a section of Congress leaders for their petty politics.

Siddaramaiah's remarks have not gone down well with D K Shivakumar who urged the former chief minister to move on.

"These things are common in politics," he said.

Meanwhile, the BJP has latched on to the issue with Revenue Minister R Ashok hinting that the Congress was divided into Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar camps.
