Horse-trading for GP Prez and Vice Prez seat: Aspirant caught paying Rs 25,000 advance to new members

It seems the dirty trend of horse-trading has entered at the village level election. The recently concluded Gram Panchayat election has paved the way for such a nasty development where newly appointed members are being purchased to vote for a particular candidate as President and Vice President.

Bidar's Humnabad Taluk, Mangalgi village leader Mohammed Patel can be seen offering cash of Rs 25,000 to husbands of two women members and another candidate to vote blindly for the candidate he proposes as President and Vice President.

The remaining Rs 75,000 will be paid once the selection of President and Vice President is over.
