Four days after schools reopen, 22 Karnataka teachers test COVID-19 positive so far

After the Karnataka government decided to reopen schools from January 1 amid Covid-19 and Britain virus scare sweeping the state, 22 teachers have tested positive so far. However, none of the students were infected as these teachers were subjected to tests on December 28 and 29 itself.

After teachers tested positive in Kodali government school, the health department on the very next day issued directions to close the school for a week and asked the education department to reopen the particular school after sanitisation.
