Exclusive: YSRCP, BJP alliance may not be possible for these reasons

In an exclusive interview with Asianet Newsable, Krishna Saagar Rao, BJP chief spokesperson for Telangana has clarified that the NDA has no reason to look for new partners as there is no need for it now. He said AP chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy meeting PM Narendra Modi is purely for administrative purposes and not for any party alliance.

Reports stated the YSRCP, ruling government in Andhra Pradesh, was entering into an alliance with BJP at the central level. However, BJP Telangana chief spokesperson, Krishna Saagar Rao has said this alliance is unlikely to happen as the BJP finds it not necessary.

Rao, in his observation said the alliance takes place purely during elections and now that there are no elections either at the central level or at Andhra Pradesh there is no possibility of an alliance.

The BJP is now playing the main opposition in Andhra Pradesh in the absence of the TDP as it lost majority of seats to Jagan's YSRCP a year and a half ago.
